ok I know ive asked this before but didnt get a response so

do I get green bulbs for the dash binnacle or white being as there must be some sort of green film behind the dials already unlike my heater panel

I reckon if you get green one's, then even if there is a green tint film it'll still be green, otherwise if you got the white one's & they are too bright, they'll be more white than green. I'm sure what i've said makes sense to me, haha :)

there is a green tint in the dash layers. means you can only have green lighting unless you get an aftermarket set of transfers

Dont forget that you can disconnect the line in to the clock from the lights so that it does not dim when they are on.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Is it simply a case of disconecting the green wire to the number 4 position on the plug ?
Green to 1 is permanent live,
Brown to 2 is earth,
Grey to 3 us ignition live
And green to 4 is live with the lights on

Yes, just disconnect and insulate the live end to prevent shorting. I may do this, but wire it so that the clock dims when full dipped (or main) beam is selected, as I often drive around with dim dip selected in what passes for daylight around these parts. That way it would still be bright during the daytime, but dim when fully dark and main or dipped beam is required.

So would the now spare feed be suitable as a live feed for my front fog switch Mat ?

Bigger it Dosent work, disconnected the live feed controlled by the lights and the clock dosent light up at all reconnected the feed and it works fine

You will likely find that with LED's the dimmer will not function.

Due to the current difference between led's and fillament lamps.

That's the reason why sometimes an electrical resistance is added to LEDs for the circuit to consume as much as with the filament's

Use one of the red connectors at the far end of the ignition barrel wiring. Make sure to get one that is ignition switched. I assume you'll wire the actual lights through relays and this is just to trigger them.
