So what sort of black should the sills be, satin ?

Memory serves me satin/gloss. Something with a bit of shine also stops the mud sticking to badly or should say cleans off easier.

i think its more like just black bodyshuts,

this differs frrom stranded underseal as it sets to a herd finish which can be painted over if you wish,

Ive used black smoothrite in the past and it looks the part.....

If you've had to do some other repairs, the textured finish can be replicated with some spray stonechip applied before the black paint

I used Hammerite Smooth Black direct to rust with the 5yr protection.

I've been using black Rustoleum, just because I've got quite a lot of it and it's meant to be quite good. Looks fine.

Satin black spray if the original textured finish just needs re-colouring.
