I am going to have a go at replacing the switch on my sunroof but I know that the mechanism is very stiff so before I burn out the motor can anyone tell me what to lubricate it with and how best to apply lubricant. I don't have the skills to remove the sunroof to do this, is there a quick fix that I can do?
Thanks, Jane

Re: Sunroof lubrication
mine was stiff too and had lots of debris / bits of leaves etc... I cleaned out the plastic runners, degreased them then used some silicone grease on the plastic runners - made it work a lot smoother...
Maybe teflon splay would be better though as too much grease will attract dirt especially in an exposed flat position like the sunroof

Re: Sunroof lubrication
Well I opened it fully today (both ways) and sprayed some silicone into it. Hope that will help things along. No leaves or other debris that I could see. Hope the switch is all that it needs!
