REAR HYDRAULIC PIPE REPLACEMENT

Post by bookman »

REAR HYDRAULIC PIPES...can anyone help please...I need to replace one of these ( passenger side just in front of rear wheel),its the second one up from the floor out of 4,I can't find an illustration of these pipes so what is this one for and where does it go ? My car is a BX17 with abs.Is it possible to replace this without dropping the rear end out ? Many thanks,Dave

I think you can replace it without dropping the rear subframe, but my past experience is that if one has gone, the rest may not be far behind. If you plan on keeping this car long term, it may be best to bite the bullet, drop the subframe and change all the front to rear pipes in 1 go

the only way to do front to rear pipes is drop the sub frame,

Bum. :( I need to do these on the white one soon...
Oh well, good excuse to check the arm bearings and seriously rustproof the subframe mounting area while it's out..

Definitely - I have a decent set of pipes etc. on mine, but will have to drop the subframe to repair the mounts properly ](*,)
