Stop plus Hydraulic Warning pressure and Level Lights

Interesting one after many decades of BX ownership has got me thinking for once.

The TZS Auto we got six months ago has this issue where the Warning Lights will flicker on mostly on corners (I can not remeber if they are left or right corners I hardly drive this vehicle my other half does.)

Fluid level correct yes checked and checked again. Suspension seems fine no rising issues yet this light comes on. Any ideas?

My thoughts exactly, you cant overfill the LHM tank though as it just spills out the top, so maybe put a smidge more in and see if makes a difference?

Disconnect the level sensor and repeat.

Tried the overfilling still no differance. Cleaned connections but my thoughts go with the sticky sensor, just odd it only does it on certain types of cornering.

One day I will post some footage of the road we use most often, might give you a better idea

On that note this problem does not seem speed related or should say excess speed related, they have a tendancy here of marking corners with recommended speeds to take a corner comfortably. Over the years I tend to go a little bit quicker on the ones I know and feel confident with, the BX suspension helps achieve this but only get this problem on this BX. The other TZS likes stuttering when I corner to fast

It's easy to get quite worried when the stop lamp comes on occasionally - and it's possible to get fooled into thinking it's always going to be a LHM related issue.

Low coolant also brings the stop lamp on - and it starts off by flickering on and off when cornering - so check / top up your coolant first.

Eh!! I thought the STOP lamp was only connected up to the hydraulics system & not anything else?

Nope. It will also be brought on by low oil pressure (as in when the ignition key is first turned) but in that case will have other lamps lit up too (as a test). From memory, the red coolant temperature lamp will also bring on the STOP lamp.

I once had a dicky temp sender on a TGD turbo and IIRC the stop light does come on too.

The stop light comes on with oil pressure, water temp & level, LHM level and (I think) low brake pad level. earlier cars like the GS don't have a master stop light, just the separate warning lamps.

Having driven a BX for over 20 years now I know the differance between lights. This is without any doubt the LHM level light hence the title to the thread.

Would love to take a photo to prove this but since it involves a corner not a wise thing to do
