C5 shaped sphere

has anyone else been sold a C5 shaped sphere from GSF to go on a BX,

i got some in for Andy ( Mothman )

a single one for one of his N/A diesel cars,
the only reason i got a single strut sphere was my local GSF said it was the only one left in stock anywhere in the country,

on arriving it was the C5 type/shape ,
it has an old GSF N No. stamped on it im sure Andy will forward this No. to this thread

Barry Annells was experimenting with fitting C5 spheres on his BX, they last a lot longer which was the main reason for fitting them, but ordinarily they aren't really a direct replacement. I guess like BX spheres, there are a multituted of different pressure related one's, so it might be difficult to get the exact type & i assume the valves are different so the suspension won't be quite the same, it might either be mega soft or much harder??

Malcom, very late Xantia's were factory fitted with C5 type, grey saucer spheres, perhaps GSF have got the BX mixed up with the Xantia?

Have you spoken to GSF about it? I wonder if the manufacturer they buy the spheres from (is it still Amtex?) have changed their production over to C5 style spheres, and are now producing BX variants in the C5 shape. Or just a simple mix up?

Tbh, if you've paid for a bx sphere at a bx price, i'd sell the c5 sphere as they are v-expensive compared to the BX one so you are quid's in
