hi yes im a newbee to this forum have been running bx s for a few years have recently aquired a very tidy indeed bx 19 tgd auto with a u/s gearbox, is a manual conversion as straight forward as it looks? i have a scrap 19 diesel which could donor parts?

Welcome to the club!

If your donor vehicle is complete, then I'd imagine it's a spannering job, although there's others here more knowledgeable than I am.

Any chance of some pics of the cars?

hi and welcome

and yes it is a very easy swap, i did one many moons ago to a B reg auto that had a blown up auto box,

required parts
manual box, pedal box, clutch, clutch cable, fly wheel,

pedal box is a direct swap

Gear stick, control rods, console trim... And don't you have to do something about the kickdown control?

well i dont think you need to do anything with it, as in the processes of removing the auto box you would remove the kick down cable, then you could leave the bracket/linkage sitting there idle,

or was it Tim after a kick down linkage a while back

before fitting the manual pedal box its worth checking it for cracks as it will be better to find them and weld them now rather than after you have fitted it
