central locking module..where is it located?

My subject pretty much says it all..

Can anyone tell me where I might find the oblong central locking module..its a MK1 but guessing they are all positioned similarly,

Problem is the module isn't feeding/reading the drivers lock ..wires into the solenoid are all sound so guessing its further up stream and most likely to be at the module end.

This would not normally be a problem, but as I am fitting a remote locking kit, I need this trigger wire to be operative..

I have had a look under and around the fuse box area but can't seem to spot it..

Brains trust ....any clues?

It's under the rear of the centre console behind the handbrake.

On my Mk1 BX it is beside the Radio immediately behind the cigarette lighter
