Bonnet Opening with a busted cable

Anyone got a method, the 19TRS I am buying seems to have snapped and the vendor cant get it open! I will be taking tools and a hopefully a couple of well heel'ed BX'ers along!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

take out headlight, reach in, toggle linkage.

Managed to do this in a car park in the lakes many moons ago, but it was a bit fiddly, and drew blood!

how do you take out the headlight without opening the bonnet??
all i want for christmas is a dukla prague away kit

Pull the inside edge forward, easier on gfrp bumpers but scratches the paint work. Hardly rocket science, and the topic is covered by the Haynes manual should anyone ever need the information in a hurry.

Turns out the cable was just very stiff and needed a bit of persuasion.
