Lower rad hoses for turbo diesel

I know these have been a bit scarce for a while, but haven't give it much thought. But whilst changing the alternator on the grey TD I noticed the lower hose was a bit cracked so decided to change it for a used spare. Glad I did as the old one wasn't just a bit cracked but absolutely knackered - how it hadn't blown apart I don't know. It's been on there since before I bought the car 80k miles ago so can't complain, but it occurs to me I should try and track down a couple of replacements to put on the shelf. Anyone got a source? Is it the same as any other model?

Same goes for any of the other hoses - I think the rad to oil filter cooler hoses are no longer available, but there may be others from other cits and pugs which can be adapted.

Might be worth seeing which valver hoses are adaptable as they're available in silicone.

I didn't have too much trouble getting the oil cooler hoses not that long ago - one from eBay and one via Malcolm Lockwood, I think...
Didn't you save all the hoses from the engine I bought from Paul W? Oh and by the way it seems to run fine

I saved the lower one - that's what I've just fitted! Can't remember what happened to the others, but he might have kept them if they're the same as the ones on his n/a diesel.
Glad the engine's running well. There was really nothing much wrong with that car - shame to break it really. But it was a bit tatty and no one seemed to want to buy it as a runner. Still, at least it's helping at leastt two more BXs survive. The rust free inner wings are about to be grafted onto the white one...

JUst following up to this. Turns out that not only are the lower hoses still available, as well as one of the oil filter cooler hoses, but I'd already ordered some and they'd been delivered to my mate in UK who hoards stuff for me - I must have ordered them whilst non compos mentis, and then forgotten....
