anyone heard of Ruville bearings

Post by citsncycles »

Spotted some wheel bearings from the above company - I want to change one of mine before Scotland but don't want to fit rubbish.

Thanks for that info. After looking on the GSF site I bought both kits on Ebay for less than half the price of one of the cheaper options from GSF!

I think ruville source parts from 'premium' companies and box them because the ruville cambelt kits say on the box 'sourced by ruville'. The same probably applies to the bearings, so basically you don't know what make is in the box, but it should meet oe standards.
The bearings themselves will be marked by the manufacturer.
The cambelts are overprinted by ruville so the original manufacturer can't be determined.

sounds a bit to cheap for my liking,

i would be surprised if the bearings have any manufacturer markings on them at all,

bit like the non branded rear arm kits GSF are now selling, as they dont seem to do the SKF kit anymore

Kits arrived in the post today - each kit contains a driveshaft nut, a drive shaft spring clip, a bearing retaining circlip and a Spanish made SKF bearing! I'm well chuffed at that price :D
