hydraulic - octopus/spider

Post by richg »

Hi - just checking to see if there has been any change in getting over problems of ageing rubber hydraulic pipes. Assume that there is no supply of new octopuses ?

What are folks doing to get over leaks etc?

Thanks Tim/Andy

I checked with our dealer and their system is showing parts available later next week. Mind you if that is based on a supplier's delivery date I hope they factored in the French summer hols!

One more query: looking back at previous queries on the subject there seem to be three rubber part nos:
960 30258 Main octopus £ 44.27
960 56235 ??????????? £ 33.05

96119048 Pipes from LHM tank ? £ 61.29 ( all prices VAT)

What is the 960 56235 part

its so long ago that I changed these parts I can`t re call if you normally need both parts ( assuming pipes from tank are OK)

On my 96056235 its called a faisceau retour doseur whatever that means and all you need if the octopus fails is the 258 part, dont need to fit the others unless they have failed too.
Octopus as of today now available again.
