My BX can do nearly 200 MPH from several parts of Britain. Its called Terminal Velocity. Its sure to duff the engine though. You do not need balanced or good tyres though. :P

The 132 or whatever speed is rather theoretical, I.e. Speed where the engine hits the governor, but as the engine is not greatly powerful overall the wind resistance proves too great. On a standard setup you won't see change out of 110, not sure I've ever got there but you should reach 100 with no real problem, perhaps a salt flat would help if you want to try any faster?

You're forgetting about the gravity pull from Scotland into England ???

Slipstream a Ferrari?

I imagine a theoretical estimate can be made of the top speed various BX can hit. Most speedos are designed to ure on the fast side so a reading of a 100 MPH up is probably more likely about 92/93 real MPH. Even that data might be known by the walking encyclopedia on the forum that aid our whims.

You may have seen my comment regarding mph and kph calibration inside the speedo console. This may yet prove to be the cause of these somewhwat theoretical BX speeds...

Thinking about it, a tzd does 70 @ 3000 rpm, so that's 35 @ 1500 and so will be 105mph at 4500 rpm.....so 105 moh is more or less your max. Where did the 132 come from?
