she is now running i cranked her over with fuel pipes off to get old fuel out then put fresh fuel in tank and she starts easily, drives but has no brakes and doesnt lift but my grandad seemed to of put wood blocks in rear of suspension to keep her up in air, the seems to be some pipes didconnected in one of the pics under front end. she has 4 new tires and a spare new tyre and four rims with crap tires

Difficult one...Mk1 fall into two catagories, lovely ones fetch strong money, projects are always hard to rehome as they are a limited market, parts are hard to find and that the work involved normally (I speak from experience) outways the cost of the completed car.

Mike Sims just paid £100 for a similar car albeit a hatchback and diesel (which are mopre sought after). Jon Self is selling a LHD one which is a runner/lifts but needs work for £200.

As your car has no hydraulics it will be a put off for some. I rescued Mk2 estate earlier this year which popped its pipes then minute it was rescued from its slumber (try working on a BX which is beeched is hard) and then promplty let its headgasket go, I gave a token gesture for that.

I paid £250 for my Mk1 estate in 'project' condition, but that was a diesel and back when we thought it might be the only one left!

Hold on - is that a BROWN interior? Oh gosh.

Although my latest purchase is a diesel, it was sold as a non runner. It may be worth having a closer look at the pipework underneath, at least so that you can see if it needs a complete repipe or just a couple changing (although if it's the front to rears I'd do them all anyway if it was a keeper). Despite looking like another Romantic Blue car (most Mk1's seem to be), it looks like it was originally a differnt interior colour to what I've seen before. The most important thing is that the body looks straight.

Price wise will depend on how quickly you want to sell, but it should fetch somewhere between the 2 prices listed above.

I see you have a pair of front wings - these seem to be pretty common, so will not add much value, but if it struggles to sell, you may find you get more cash by selling the good wheels / tyres separately.

Thanks guys. I need to clear the garage quite soon tbh. I thought it may be worth some use to someone on here but if nobody wants her I will scrap her but it seems a shame to do that. It has 4 spare doors with her. I will try and jack it up and look at the pipes underneath as they look unbolted not Broken.

Dont scrap it, decide on a price and advertise it as such which may attract more people.

As sadi above, dont scrap it, what will it weigh infor? Lets say 150 at best right? So advertise for 200 quid and accept a bit less if it comes to it, someone will save it im sure :)
