Twin carb on a 16?

IMO the 16 engine is good but not great...A bit asthmatic compared to the 19 petrol. Its the only thing that stops me getting really excited by my 16 TRS..(mk1) ..if it wasn't so original I'd put a 1.9I engine in...

So I guess that would be my recommendation...If your 16 is not a minter or rare, forget the twin carbs that will be a pain and suck in a load of fuel...and use your funds and time to install a 1.9 8v injected preferably a 122 if you can find one.


Another cheaper option is to fit a pod air filter, and or fatter exhaust if thats allowed in UK and not going to be a problem at MOT time.
