caliper grease

Post by barry badger »

I've just fitted two reconditioned calipers to the front of my tzd, i would like to put some grease under the piston dust covers.
what type of grease should i use? looking on various sites the general concensus seems to be red rubber lube, although a silicone grease is also recommended.
Also i want to change the front brake flexi pipes as they are quite badly cracked. I have one which is a corteco 19018449 which crosses over to a Dephi lh 6015, is this the right one? The thread sizes are listed as M9x1.25 and M10x1. My car has ABS. I've read that ABS brake flexis are no longer available, but there's lots of the above delphi pipes on ebay.
