Post by rutter123 »

which i think is the 2nd one back from the front, has a plastic pipe which feeds partially thru the bulkhead bonnet seal-does this have a one way valve inside? the one on the estate has been "butchered" with an array of "bodge"

The one way valve is just a ball bearing in the elbow onto the reservoir. It is on the return line from the front struts and can be seen if you peer into a detached elbow.
I am not at all convinced that it is necessary and that it even works on an old and worn elbow as they all will be these days.

Are you talking about the t-piece on the top of the LHM cap? If so the on my TXD has an amazing piece of engineering that I should really post in the FB group.

Mine hasn't had the T-piece for well over 100,000 miles nopw - just a short piece of rubber hose straight into the cap top. Doesn't seem to make the slightest difference one way or the other.
