Moans and Groan!

My Gti struts groan quite badly when on its highest position, is it as easy as everyone says it is to lubricate the, bearing in mind im mechanically retarded! :?

It wasnt actually Ian lol. Ive told you I dont mind paying for the work you do aslong as you dont sting me, AND both lots of work you are currently undertaking you have offered to do! 8)

I cheated and used the ole' oil can and squirted loads onto the strut shaft, lovely jubliee :D

What happens in the hiughest position is quite irrelevant as the car isn't driven (I hope) in this position.


What you are looking for is that the struts are nice and smooth in the normal operating range - ie normal height - when pushed down.

Struts are best lubricated internally. Look in the BX diy section of the homepage.
