Random Sneeze

Post by Captain Slow »

When I start the estate, it makes a noise that I can only describe as a sneeze. It sounds like air escaping, but any ideas?

Well loads of help you lot have been!

Narrowing it down, it sounds like the starter motor is still spinning after the car has started, but only for a brief moment....must investigate further...

Could be a sticky starter, why not take it off and clean the business end out, I use paraffin and a paintbrush, dont lubricate it though or clutch dust will stick to it and cause further trouble.
