I have replaced a few throttle spindle bushes and O rings on the Lucas/Rotodiesel pumps, I used to buy a kit quite cheaply though I believe some guys on the andy forum have recently had difficulty getting them , the job itself is not difficult though care is required as well as cleanliness when opening the pump up.

as far as I remember there are some allen bolts holding the top cover on, it just lifts off the linkage engages on some tubular dampers but is fairly straightforward, just dont turn it around the kits I fitted had a new spindle, bush and an O ring in them, it was all worn but straighforward to replace.
Good luck

According to the lucas centre it is very easy and as follows.
First put a tray under the pump to catch all the diesel which will come out Next mark the position of the throttle lever and the cold start lever in relation to the pump top and make note of how the springs fit to these arms. undo the 17mm banjo connection for the fuel return pipe, move this out of the way. remove the 10mm nuts which secure the 2 arms, remove the arms noting how they fit etc. Remove the 4 small torx bolts and take the top off the pump - this is where you'll lose a lot of fuel. Push the throttle shaft down and out of the lid as you pull the lid off. There are 2 "O" rings on the shaft - replace these with 2 new ones . To protect the insde of the pump from debris degreased the outside of the pump first thoroughly to prevent any dirt falling inside. then reasemble bleed the fuel system and run the car checking for leaks.
Anders if you need some seals send me a PM with your address and I will send you a couple of seals. The seals on cost 74p for a pack of 10 from my Lucas centre
9 out of 10 pumps only need new o rings 1 out of ten need new spindle and cover but this is rare.

Well did my seals today had to change the top cover because the hole had gone eliptical but other than that no problems do be warned the seals are not very flexible and are a pig to get on the throttle spindle I used 4 seals 2 on the throttle and 2 on the stop lever spindle you dont spill that much diesel.
Forgot to mention could not get a new cover so got one from a breakers of a J plae ZX with 60k on the clock
