BX steel wheels & C15's...

Post by Will2cv »

Hi Folks

OK it's only kinda BX related but I was just wondering - will steel BX wheels fit a C15? I've bought an M reg C15d to hoon round in while the TZD is off the road (doing stuff like height correctors, ball joints, exhaust, boot floor welding etc). Was looking at it yesterday and it just seems a bit spindly on it original 13's and 155 tyres!

Cheers

They should fit straight on mate IIRC.
Theres a couple of C15's round here that run Speedline 6J's with 195/60 14's on them so I cant see it being a problem
Be aware though that unless you run lower profile tyres on BX rims the speedo will be inaccurate!

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Thanks Doc

Good point about the profiles, I'll have a play round with wheels at the weekend, think I've got a set with low profiles on in the lockup.

Hmm, interesting. Would a 1.7TD engine drop straight in...?

Must banish such thoughs - I'm meant to be fixing my BX not breaking it

Cooincidentally the reg of my van is ***YOO. I think it is asking for an engine swap!

A TD will indeed fit straight in. Although as you point out, with that rego it clearly desires a valver lump!!!
