Thought I`d blow the dust of this section and ask a technical question!
Can someone please tell me the recommended mileage and/or time span for cambelt changes on a BX TZD?
Thanks in advance,

I think some french bloke dictated it was every 48,000 miles.
Cant be sure to be honest, I change mine every year before the MOT, takes 40 minutes and costs 9 quid, most important bit of rubber you'll ever change and all that so I change my rubbers regularly like!
Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I think it depends on the actual belt fitted, later ones seem to be good for 70k miles, older ones used to be good for only 40k, it depends on the type of belt thats on there now, a new Dayco one should be good for the recommended interval (the old Hanes used to give figures of 40k and 70k for the same engines, confusing eh) I always replace them before that if I have reason to take em off, like doing the water pump.

I thought a three year frequency of posting in here was pretty good. I`m either not knackering things up as much as I used to or I know just enough to not have to ask how to open the windows or something!
I think the belt was replaced within 40,000 but was more than 3 years ago which kind of concerned me a bit.
However that might not be an issue anymore...
