Progress on 17 RD D526 WCW
Progress on 17 RD D526 WCW
I 've renewed the gearbox oil, and adjusted the clutch linkage, and the gearchange is a vast improvement.
I won't need to renew my diesel top air intake hose, because it isn't perished. The reason it was imploding on acceloration was due to a blocked air filter element. This has all now been sorted.
My next jobs are to renew a glowplug, change the drivers door, and some welding in the boot area. The washer also needs attention.
MOT's due in mid March. Last year, car passed with flying colours, only needing a stop light bulb.
Engine is still going strong at 266K.
Considering the lack of care this car received, before I got hold of it, it is doing well!
Once again, many thanks to all fellow BXers who have responded to my postings/queries.
Regards

Well, er, the inner wings, most of the floor pan, the roof and pillars are original.
The interior, engine, gearbox, most of the running components have either been replaced or rebuilt, so......
It's not even registered as a Citroen anymore.. After it was written off a few years ago, I had to get SVA on it and it's now classed as a kit car built by me!!
Cheers
