Just a quick question - I have ordered 3 195/60 x 14 tyres for my BX which has the phase 1 16v alloys - but then I had a doubt that I had the right size. The car isn't with me so I can't check right now - please could someone put my mind at ease and tell me I am right?
Or let me know if I am wrong so i can phone to re-order...
Incidentally, does £48 inc Vat each sound good for Firestones? I have managed to get them ranging from £35 and £68 each previously but tyre prices seem to go up and down from year to year.

Yep, spot on Mat, thats the correct size for a valver.
As for price, well, yeah, they vary alot as you said. I think the cost of a tyre is calculated by the phase of the moon, whether it rained last tuesday, and whether the tyre fitter got laid the night before...
Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

For future reference this info is in the drivers handbook - which can be downloaded here - this one is edited to cover petrol and diesels.
