HELP! battery light

Post by simonbx17 »

hi,
can anyone shed some light on the problem i have, when driving for about 30-40mins on the motorway, when i use the indicators the battery light comes on  and the indicator relay buzzes and there is no indicators but hazards work fine! when i switch off the indicators the battery light goes out?

when i leave the car for 10 15 mins everything is fine and back to normal.

this happens at the end of a journey :?: :?:

 would this be a relay issue or indicator stalk issue.
 sorry topic in wrong place ca it be moved

Buzzing indicator units are caused by a faulty hazard switch which can also cause the charge lamp to illuminate. (I have seen this before but memory failed me.)

Well it's the one from here (I don't think it went on eBay): http://bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4977

It's very nice, clean and very low mileage...

Don't bother changing the relay. It isn't that.
