Rear wash/wipe

One of the very few problems with my newly-acquired BX is that the rear wash/wipe doesn't work.

Obviously it's a question of going through the system with a multimeter until I find the fault, but I wonder if there are any "prime suspects" - where should I look first?

In my experience it is the switch.
• 1992 Citroen BX TZD Turbo Hurricane

And in mine, the motor is burnt out because the whole thing is siezed solid.
