Sticking handbrake

Post by classic2cv »

I’ve got my car through the Mot and back on the road after a bit f a lay up :D

I’ve fitted new discs & pads up front and all is well apart from the handbrake that sticks on when I use it (offside wheel)

I pulled back the rubber cover to find a lot white corrosion =, I cleaned it out and sprayed In some

WD40 to try and loosen things up but it still sticks after I’ve released the lever

And I have to park with the car in gear until I can sort it

The nearside brake works ok but when I fitted the pads I saw that the piston was pitted

Does anyone have a spare set of brake calipers handy?

Does anybody know why it always seems to be the driver's side that you have trouble with?
