Had an all-out attack to try and fix my radio last night, to no avail
It's an original Blaupunkt Boston radio/cassette.
I dismantled all the sunroof motor gubbins and undid the roof aerial, then made sure it was all tightly done up again after inspecting it.
I took out the radio and tried to make the aerial fit properly to the rear of the unit, by pulling on the aerial wire carefully so there was more "reach". Before, the aerial wire would detach while withdrawing the radio from the dashboard...
Still there is zip from the radio apart from a snippet or two of music and some crackles before it went silent again. The tape works fine.... so I'm assuming that either the aerial terminal/socket is dodgy or it's an internal fault to do with the switching between tape and radio output.
Any other ideas?
Mark.
