Brakes on a ZX

I have a 1.9 D and there are a few "CLONKING" noises when i first touch the brake pedal. I have had it checked out and it appears that there is wear on the calipers. The discs are new and so are the pads. The brakes work fine but the noise is becoming more frequent. I have noticed that there is also a very slight tendancy for there to be a wee bit of a "GRAB" when the brakes get past the "CLONK".. if a person wasn't told it was there they would not notice it at all... but I have.... so what should I do?? replace the calipers with something new or second hand.. or live with it??
