I guess this is the head that is not fitted to the engine?

They are TIGHT! 66lb / ft, plus some corrosion makes undoing them, er, interesting!

If you're able to clamp the head in something so it cant move, then get the injector socket on them with a big breaker bar and apply alot of effort, be very careful though, I've had a few that have been in for years that have taken the threads out of the head.

The last I removed from a head required the breaker bar and a scaffold pole to bodge them, and the head was on the engine, at one point I thought the car was going to bounce before they let go! But they succumbed in the end, it may be easier to remove with the head on the car if you dont have something substantial to clamp the head in mate..

27mm 6-sided deep socket with at least a 1/2" drive is what you need.

I often find it helps a lot to dribble some diesel fuel around the threads of injectors, as diesel is even more penetrating than 3-in-1 type oil. Leave it to soak in to the threads for a day or two, and no problem.

This does also seem to happen by default as you remove the injector lines and the leak-off lines... diesel everywhere.

Plus Gas? If you can still get it that is. I found it very useful back in Renault 4 days!

You can still get plus gas, but it's both very expensive, and evaporates fairly quickly. Diesel is very cheap (for the few drips you need) and will sit there working its way in to the thread all week if needs be.
