And its through. Thanks to the dedication of a certain rainproof scouser who came to the rescue on Monday morning.

I managed to change the headlight bulb myself though! Also sealed up the exhaust properly, and having driven it at the weekend the new discs and pads had bedded in better. They did a full re-test and it passed with no exhaust leakage at all, brake efficiency at 84% up from 50%, handbrake reserve length fine, emmisions at 0.6% CO and 41ppm HC - which I was told was the lowest he'd ever seen on any 8 valve he'd tested. No advisorys - hurrah!

Now I just need to sort the bodywork, driving lamps and engine hoses + leads - bring on the summer...

Course next month the TZD is getting MOT'd, so it could be back to square one again.
