Sounds like one of those fault code readers you plug in to the ECU wiring (iirc). They bring up a fault code and you get a book which tells you what each code means.

They are also offering this.....is it any good for BX suspension pipes?

Brake pipe flaring tool. For copper pipes sizes 3/16 to up to 5/8 inch.(petrol and oil pipes etc)Various makes stocked all similar (Draper pictured).None of these smaller kits are suitable for steel pipe, but that rusts so quickly it is seldom used anyway.Makes single or double flares £10..00p post £4..00p

1) This forum is the best fault finder there is.

2) I don't think that those pipe flarers will work on BX pipes, which have an olive shaped flare.

Fault code readers are handy things to have really, it saves alot of head scratching. I have one that lives in the boot of the valver.

You need a special flaring kit for Citroën pipes, Plaiedes sell them.
