radio

Post by poormansgs »

my BX14 has one of those plug in removable radios but it does not work.
Before i scrap the radio I need to check the wiring to it but as it is all "factory fitted and well and truly part of the loom" I cannot find which route the wiring takes before entering the back of the radio.
Any help would be welcome;
Regards
Geoff

The radio wires whilst not ISO type simply plug into the back of the radio - when you remove it they will have some slack on them to allow you to pull them out and disconnect them.

Have you checked the fuse?

not so Marty. the plug which entres the radio is actually fixed as part of the radio housing. It is a nice arrangement and plugs in nicely - but there is no slack and no way to access the wiring - other than completely dismantling the radio housing. any suggestions welcome;
Best regards
Geoff
