Ever since I bought Monica in March this year, every time it rained (and that's been quite a lot this summer), the drivers side footwell has been soaked in the morning.
I also found and fixed a leaking door frame seal, where the actual dpoor had become bent out of shape slightly, allowing the rain to get in at the top of the door. Very annoying when you're driving along with water dripping onto your right leg as you go!
I bent the door back into shape by using a large length of 3" x 3" through the open window from outside down, so that the bottom of the wood was pressed against the armrest and the top could be pushed (carefully) inwards, bending the top frame of the door back. It worked well!
I had been meaning to seek out the o/s sunroof drain under the wheelarch, but never quite got around to it, mainly as I couldn't be ar$ed removing the plastic liner!
Today, purely by chance, I was grovelling around running some new speaker wiring, when I felt up behind the right hand end of the dashboard, right against the side. I felt something that was thicker than a wire, so investigated further!
I discovered the sunroof drain tube had somehow been dragged back inside the car from its usual "termination" place in the wheelarch. My guess is that the previous owner had pulled it whilst fitting the alarm or stereo. when I ;looked under the dash, I could see easily the small hole in the arch that the drain tube should have been in, so it was a simple job to shove it back out. there is probably only around 1-2" at the end of the tube, so relatively easy to get moved from its correct placement, with a BIG difference in the final destination of the water! Now the water from the sunroof drains OUTSIDE the car, instead of around my feet!
Job done!!! Sorted!!! Happy Bunny!!!
Worth a quick look for anyone with wet feet in their BX!
Wahhh-Hayyyy!! No more wet feet for me!

Have to say I've always used the knee / pull option, but whatever gets you through the day is fine.
Them pesky tubes are a ballache sometimes, although had I been home when you first posted this I'd have mentioned that it's not necessary to pull the liner out, just have a grope around under the dash...
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
