Can anyone tell me what model BX has the variant XC labelled to it?
I believe it's a BX diesel but I need to know if it's a 17, 17TD or 19.
ie VF7XBXCxxxxXCxxxx
Thanks,
Michael

As this seems to be the VIN number you're quoting (chassis number, on the plate attached to the r/h inner wing), a Citroen dealer should be able to answer your question. In the UK, I've been asked for the VIN number (chassis number) each time recently when requesting parts - once upon a time they just used to ask for the model and the 4-letter date of manufacture painted onto the inner l/h front door pillar.
The engine should have an ID plate on the block close to the thermostat which will identify engine type.

Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

Thanks for that cauchoiskev,
So we're talking a 19 RD or 19DTR?
Any ideas though if it's a series 1 or 2?
Some one has come to me asking for some parts for it and I have the VIN and put it into Citroën service and it doesn't recognise it. I put my VIN's in and they work????
The car no longer has the boot badge!
*shrugs*
