Hello all,
Can anyone advise where I can find information about fitting an XUD11 engine into a BX estate 1.7 TZD.
I have already got a XUD11 engine from a scrapper XM, and have got as far as proving the BX BE3 g/box fits straight on (I intend to increase the overall ratios by combining the diff from an 8V gti with a TD 5 speed gear set).
My major concern is the intercooler, and matching up the exhaust down pipe to the turbo.
Any information and words of wisdom would be appreciated, as I have heard this has already being done but cannot find any info on the internet.
Thanks in anticipation.

XUD11 engine upgrade BX
I've heard about successful Xantia/ZX 19td transplant into the BX.
Look up our member "Vanny" and visit his website.
You may try contact him.
But I've never heard about shoe-horning the 2.1td12valve into a BX.
I really believe its over the mark for the BX engine bay.

I already have a BX with a 1.9TD engine fitted in it, the engine was from a low mileage peugeot 306 write off.
This has being very successful and is a noticable improvement on the 1769cc TD version, and has now being running for 7 years.
Having now tried that I would like something more challenging, and feel the XUD11 D12 engine would approach 16V performance but with the benefit of diesel economy, and in terms of weight it would not be a geat deal more than the 1769 cc TD engine.

I certainly remember now that I read that thread some time back
