Yet another LHM leak

Post by kiwi »

Hows this for gratitude! Changed the old girls rear tyres to more grippy Michellins and she reapays me by spittinh some green life blood out over the front bumper wheel.

Cause I believe is this little pipe. Which has split! second time chopped it back but need a solution as to what to do. Am I right its part of the dreaded octopus pipe? But is it one I can splice into? Or put a small clamp on to hold it from spliting again?

In case you cant see it is the one beside the t piece pipe.

I used this method, been on for a year now and still holding.

Shunt over istead of inside the tube, as they get brittle.

May be of some help.

Good Luck

That would appear to be your brake doseur return, although it doesn't seem to be connected to the correct pipe of the reservoir.

If it is the brake return, it is not part of the octopus, it's sold separately. It's no big deal to change it :) .

Brian

The pipe is a female connection onto the male part at the reservoir. Its already over thats why its split.

cauchoiskev, Accirding to the Manual I have it is the Security Valve and front/rear height correctors.

Whilst I was ckecking it yesterday the car went to settle and with it a burst of fluid from that pipe so I am assumig that means its a return pipe?
Solution needs to extend the pipe to cut off that split end at the very least because the pipe cannot be pulled through anymore.

Best ideas for that please?

EDIT! Offending pipe circled.
