I've recently started using bio-diesel on my 19txd, no probs so far, i will have to do a fuel filter change after the next tank of fuel as it loosens the deposits in the engine & fuel tank.

To give u a bit of history about what i've done so far:

Started off using derv mixed with 10% of SVO, no probs whatsoever, car enjoys the SVO.

Then did a 50% Bio diesel with 40% derv & 10% SVO.

Currently using 80% Bio diesel, 10% derv & 10% SVO.

So with a Bosch pump it would appear you can do variations on a theme, whether this is correct or not is anyones guess, try & do some research on the net.

Its widely considered that the other pump makes, dont like SVO, however plenty of evidence of people using SVO in high concentrations without issue, but they are more susceptable to pump failure.

Bio diesel is considered safer than SVO, but it can still fail a pump. If the pump has had an easy life (i'm guessing low mileage examples) then likelyhood of failure is less).

If you are worried, then dont use anything other than derv. Perhaps other club members may have different ideas or problems to using alternative fuels & in different concentrations.

Hope this is relatively usefull & food for thought....
