TZD running Bosch pump

Post by ohms »

Hi all,

I spent last weekend fitting the bosch pump and new cambelt to the TZD, but unfortunately hadn't got the bosch injectors to hand. (thought they were in my garage, but were actuaslly at my Dads some 50 miles away)

Anyway, the car has been running great on the roto diesel injectors with the bosch pump, but I wondered if this combination is OK for the long term or would I be better fitting the bosch injectors as i have collected them now.

Anybody know what the differences are? i was amazed that it ran with the roto diesel injectors, but as I say it seems fine!! :D

The crack off pressures are 30 bar different, and whilst a Lucas pump will run Bosch injectors and vice versa, It will over fuel the engine and getting it through an emissions test could be interesting..

If you have the right injectors, fit them.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
