BX heater tap availability.

Post by Geoffrey Gould »

Hello all there have been problem with heater taps being unobtainable and other parts also, if you ask for BX parts then the most probably the answer will be no. Obtain the part number of what you require and you could well be told that there isnt a problem. The factory has lots of BX spares But they have to be ordered by part number. The computor does not recognise parts that are asked for by name ie. a BX heater tap. Worth a go you could have a pleasent surprise.
Cheers.

Heater tap availability

Hi to expand a little more, I cant lay my hands on the part number at the moment but the PR net numbers are revalent. The problem apears to be on this side of the water. I mentioned the tap as an example, the same applies to a lot more parts, if you speak nicely and ask for the part to be ordered from the factory in France then there should not be a problem, they may have stopped production of some parts but they do have stocks. Front wings and bumpers are ok but body wise not a lot, about 80%+ of the other parts are still available. The French factory parts people are very nice and helpfull and try to supply things as opposed to this lot who frankly could not seem to care less.
Some 16V parts are getting difficult ie. calipers but the problem is not insermountable, get rebuilt standard ones and swop the frame over, problem solved.
Cheers
Geoff.
