The "where does this go?" thread

Post by Kitch »

Heres an idea.....how about a thread to ask where things go?

I changed the big loopy pipe from the PR to the FDV for the third time the other day (thats the new one in the pic). I originally thought I might be caining through them as the old one seemed at an angle, but the new one did too. I then found a bracket on an old disused PR (circled red) that was I had missed off when I removed and refitted the engine
If I'd have spotted it sooner, I wouldn't have had so many leaks last year!

So I thought how about a thread where you show a pic, then if a BX-boff strolls past and says "you've got one of those missing" or "that doesn't go there" then the potential failure of the component could be avoided!

So starting with mine, I noticed I also have a bracket still loose (marked by yellow arrow). Can't work out where it goes....I thought it was the top of the FDV but there seems to be no thread in the hole! I vaguely remember it being bolted to the FDV somewhere possibly, but it was so long ago I can't remember!

Ideas?

slide it back round so the flat is inline with the side of the FDV and you find there is a bolt that lines up almost perfectly with it!

Theres no real need for a big thread on such a topic as most of the info is on the service citroen website, so its pretty easy to find out where things go, just have a look!
