Spark plugs for 16v
Haynes suggests (I wouldn't take it as Gospel), the same plugs for 8v and 16v (although with slightly wider gap on the 16v plug).
If I want to replace my 16v's plugs, which brand/type - and exactly which part number - do I choose?

I use NGK BCP7ET on my 16v. They have 3 prongs and not a single prong like the gti 8v ( if you know what i mean)

BCP7ET is the only way to go with a valver, really it is. Although Champion (believe it or not) do a competition plug that markedly improves the 0-60 time, although the are FUBAR after 300 miles and cost a fortune.
Stick with NGK.
As for Lumpy, triple's might just be a waste of money TBH.

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

OK, can anyone recommend good leads. I have a new dizzy etc. and the coil's fine.
I am trying to get the engine as much 'on song' as I can, as I think it's a bit out of sorts... I'm running it with 99 octane fuel, all the filters are new and the battery is fine. There's just a hint of rough/inconsistent running at high revs, and before I go much further I might as well do the ignition side of things... can't do any harm I guess.
I know I'm new to the 16v but my instincts tell me it's not quite 'there' yet.

I pay £5.49 for a full set of the NGK's in Halfords, and have a set of BOSCH leads which where special order from Halfords for £40.00 fancy silicone jobies and they made a noticable improvement over the semi brittle ones that where on the car at the time.
Starting to think there might be enough people about to get an order into Magnecore, needs 10 people or so to order

£15 for triple elctrode plugs is not expensive.
And they are the best plugs for a valver.
Equiem, meh, NGK, better.
Needless to say my valver sports a full set of Magnecore leads, they're the dogs b*ll*ocks, they really are.
You cant beat a nice fat spark.

Magnecore leads all the way!. I have the electro sports on my 16v ( blue leads) they are about 4 or 5 years old now and have never ever given me any trouble. We run magnecore kv85 leads on the green 16v ( red leads) and theyre fine too.
