Brake light switch

Hi all ive got a AX brake light switch would this fit the BX ?


had it sitting around for a while in my AX parts but would love to move it over to the BX parts box :lol:

Just pray you never have to fit it.

Most - like BMC Mini screw into a threaded boss in the bracket above the pedal and are secured with a locknut.

BX ones don't have the threaded boss - so you have to put a nut on between the pedal and the bracket - then adjust the thing! Have a look at where the switch is and all that plastic trim - and pray it doesn't fail!

Most replacement switches don't have the second nut - you have to remove it from the old switch.

Conclusion : move the switch from the AX to the BX box :wink:

lol yea they sound the same :lol: it was a sod trying to fit the new switch to the AX only to find the old one was ok and it was the wiring

I fitted one of those to mine what a B*****d
Hope it never goes again you need to be a contortionist with small hands and eyes in the top of your head.
oh and ambidexterous and also be able to stand on your head and whistle dixy( the last part is optional) :lol:

when i fitted it to my AX i tock the drivers seat out then laid back with feet on rear seats ive found this to be the easyer way :lol:
