BX TZD Estate rear arch repair panels????

Post by talbotsteve »

Has anyone ever come across repair panels for the rear end of the BX estate?
Mine has gone behind the side part of the bumper on the passenger side and does look unsightly, but it's only thin tin so welding it up may be more difficult than it's worth?? Problem seems to be that it's the whole rear 1/4 panel that will need to be replaced???

Any ideas appreciated,
Cheers Steve

Repair panels were available years ago, but where you'd find one now I have no idea.
Complete wings are available, even form Citroen, but you'd need to remortgage your house to get one.

Classic Citroen Parts have a really good stock of BX panels though, and he's reasonably priced, and a very nice bloke.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

If its not a visible panel its probably easier to make up a repair section from sheet metal of the correct gauge.

The problem is the hole is starting to come around up onto the main part of the rear quater so any "repair" would be very noticable, plus its very thin metal so not sure how easy it would repair????

Thanks for the replies guys i'll take a look at the afore mentioned supplier and see what they have.

Cheers Steve
