Hi Guy's,
I have just installed new handbrake cables, went relativly well, what i need to do now is tighten them, how do you do this and to what tightness? the haynes book says tighten adjusting nut so that lever is in contact with the cam, what is the cam? is it the fixed bit on the end of the hand brake cable? how many clicks should there be before it is engaged?
any help would be great.
cheers
handbrake instalation

The object is to make sure there is sufficient movement in the mechanism to allow the self adjusters to work. Adjust as set out in Haynes, start the engine and with your foot hard on the footbrake operate the handbrake lever a few times to complete the adjustment.
