rear brake disc/pad covers

Post by maxgreenwood »

I replaced my rear brake discs and pads at the weekend and removing the very corroded pad covers decided to try and sand them down and rust treat them only they fell apart in my hands.

Does anyone have a spare pair knocking around or can advise me where to obtain some GSF?

Are there any dangers to running without them?

Thanks

If you can't source them, then:

I have in the past used the original ones as a template, and cut them out of thin galvanised sheet, the sort used for heating and ventilation ducting.

They last for years...
