TXS Getting better.

Post by demag »

I took the Bx to Mr Grump on Thursday and he replaced both driveshaft gaiters. He also repaired the lhm leak that I suspected of being the octopus. He said the octopus was ok but one of the pipes feeding it was the problem. I wonder if it was the same pipes Ian was having trouble with. He also dropped some strong hints that it wouldn't be sensible spending lots of money on the car as there are hardly any Bx's left and they are worth nothing! Told you he was a nice chap! Cost £100 which I thought was reasonable these days. At least he smiled when he took my money.

While he had the car I searched t'internet for another Citroen specialist in my area, I actually found one not far from Wolverhampton Racecourse. I rang him and he said it was no problem looking after older Cits so hopefully my faith will be restored in the traditional British (French?!) garage. I had a ride over today as I was off work and he seems a genuine bloke. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
