One of my concerns is that it will start moving sludge around the system which might cause further problems?

-It shouldn't do as it's meant to break it down into finer parts and hold it in a suspension so that when the hydraflush is black you just change it and it takes the grub with it.

Must admit, i've never once done the lhm on any of my cars

I think there are 2 methods as explained in the diy section (from memory), the easy & the better way. I presume the better method is the one thats likely not to work due to the brakes issue?? or is there a simpler solution to getting the most lhm out which isnt mentioned in the guide?
