Paint Lacquer

Post by roody262 »

There are some patches on the bx where the clear lacquer is coming off or has already come off. Does any one have any tips on how to repair this? Is it best to strip all the pealing lacquer back, mask off around the area and re lacquer. Or would it need the full respray process?

The only way to do it properly and effect a lasting repair would be to rub the whole panel back and spray the entire thing.

I've tried to patch in peeling laquer in the past with an aerosol can and its reacted and lifted around the edges.
