Quite correct, I just get to speed quite quickly, and then stay there as much as possible....

If we're doing tyre choices, my favourite ones are Uniroyals. Nothing particularly impressive in the dry (although they are definitely good), but there is almost no deterioration in the wet, at which point they become very impressive.

The unfortunate thing was that I learned to drive on Uniroyals, and so was somewhat surprised the first time I drove in the wet on other tyres...

likewise, I wouldn't use any other tyre now, Uniroyal's are FTW.
And they're quieter than pretty much any other tyre I've tried on a BX.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Are you still running a changing set of wheels/tyres between winter and summer Mulley? If so you may be interested in the sets of tyre bags Lidl are offering at around a tenner this week to keep your spare set in.

Last friday (when the car still started) I had to break hard with my new Pirelli P4 Cinturato (front only), because of some idiot changing lane without looking in his side mirrors.
I must say the tyres performed very well.

Well had them fitted tonight after work and although I only came 3 miles home the steering feels a LOT more responsive. I was desperately worried for the car there as they had a couple of chav type turd heads doing the job but luckily it appears to have escaped unscathed. If there's green blood over the road in the morning I'll know I was wrong. £179 all in including tracking. I have to go to Stoke tomorrow, about 70 miles round trip so that should help run them in a bit and get a feel for them.
